This did the job it was supposed to do. It's a heavy duty piece of material and doubt very seriously it would break in a barrel installation. This is why it's cheaper than steel because of the material it's made of. But be clear, it's a heavy duty product and did just fine with the install of the barrel. Great product in my opinion.
