The quality you expect.

If you're like me, when you're considering upgrading or spec-ing out your new rifle, every piece and component needs to be top notch, high quality, and confidence instilling. When Uncle Donny calls me to help defend our democracy against Kim, I don't want to have to tell him that I can't go because my gas block/A-post sucks because I cheeped out. Well made, stout machining, cleanly finished. Flip up feature is great for getting the front sight out of your scope picture, but easily flips back up for cqc/transport. Two piece design is great for mounting to a barrel with a welded muzzle device.

Yankee Hill is an awesome company and has great customer service.

Extremely low quality

Written on Aug 26, 2018

Cheap is all this gas block is, in every way. It's made of extremely soft aluminum. The gas port was improperly milled, it had metal shavings clogging the gas port and the set screws striped out. I mounted this to a barrel then welded the brake on. After the first trip to the range, the gun failed to cycle due to the poor quality. Ultimately, mine was cut off and replaced with a Yankee Hill Machine two piece setup. Save yourself the time and money.

Yes, you need this.

Purchased a name brand lower parts kit to complete my latest build. After 3 trips to the range I realized just how bad the safety selector was. After some contemplation, I purchased the BAD-A$$ setup, and couldn't be happier. Extremely well machined, clean, smooth, easy to flick. When it comes to something like a safety selector, don't cheap out. When you flip this safety it feel like you're locking a deadbolt. It's smooth and you know whether it's engaged or disengaged.

Buy the cheap lower parts kit for the pins, then throw out the safety selector and get yourself the BAD-A$$.

My only complaint is that it is heavy. So if you're going for lightweight this may not be your pony.

JUST BUY IT!

Like most others, I spent a couple of days thinking over weather or not I needed to spend this much money on the loudest brake in the world. I mounted this on a 20" .223 Wylde with the PA alignment kit (totally worth the money) and the gun doesn't move. Follow up shots are easy and smooth, recoil is minimal. I personally don't think this brake is any louder than others, but mine is on a 20" barrel. Shorter barrels may experience more percussion. Cry once, spend the money.

Great quality

Great addition to an SPR. Allows for simple and easy take down without feeling like you're going to rip you fingernails off. Machining is clean and smooth. These will definitely make it onto all future builds.
