If the holster was the right size, it would probably be a pretty good holster. It is stamped "P22", but a P22 can be pulled out with the thumb break snapped. Easily. It's not even close. It seems to be for a different, larger frame, and the y just stamped it and sold it for a smaller gun. IF it had fit, it seems to be of good leather and quality similar to a Galco (probably not quite that good, but close).
This product is heavy. The gas tube has been reinforced with ribs, which is probably good to keep it stable, but it is going to add some weight. As the description noted, it is long and will require some filing. Alot of filing for my Chinese SKS, but I went slow and I have a very tight fit that will certainly help keep this stable. The original gas tube was very sloppy, so I advise to have fit and don't make the same as original. The set screws seem sloppy and should definitely have loctite added. What I didn't expect was having to sand the ID of the piston part of the tube. The paint was thick and had to be removed to get the piston to even insert. I don't expect a gas tube mounted optic to hold a great zero, but it is much better than I expected once I achieved the fitment I wanted.
This is a canvas RIGHT HAND ONLY holster. If you want to Left hand draw, you can't. Also, the strap to secure the gun has metal buckets that will rub your gun and may scratch and wear the finish. The canvas seems of reasonable quality and the overall design isn't bad, it just isn't as advertised.
