Not quite the value you'd think

Key - Message good tube but comes without a crown nut.
I am assembling the parts for my first pistol build. I had an unused buffer and spring left over from a previous .22 LR build and just needed the tube to have a compliant no-stock pistol. Therefore, I purchased the version with the pad on sale and thought I had made a great deal. However, when it was delivered without a crown nut - the value diminished with the additional cost to separately purchase this low cost item. I was surprised and disappointed that it did not include this part necessary for any application for this tube.

Timber Creek AR Magazine Release Button
Although made of good quality aluminum, one of the two buttons I ordered had not been tapped (threaded). However, after cutting the threads in that one, they both made a nice upgrade to the cheap plastic buttons that came in the CMMG lower kits. These have a different look and feel than the original Mil-spec buttons without the scallops on the surface and also without be drilled all the way through to the touch surface. If you are looking for an original look, go with the affordable all aluminum Luth AR buttons.

Good kit that is almost original

CMMG, Inc AR-15 Lower Reciever Parts Kit
I got two of these kits to build economic replica's of the rifles we used in service. The kits provide a very good fit and feel for every point except the polymer magazine release button. The material and feel of every other component was a familiar match to the original M16 and came in nicely segregated bags to assist in the proper assembly.

Leapers UTG AR15 A2 Fixed Stock Assembly
This is solid stock that provides an affordable and fully functional option for an A2 style and fit. It should work for anyone that is not after a perfect show quality replica A2 rifle. At half the price of a Colt, this stock only has a few distracting points that have been documented in previous previous reviews. 1)The stock finish has some molding lines and imperfections in the finish, 2) the butt plate and stock do not align perfectly, 3) The Butt plate and trap door are polymer instead of metal (like the original). If you can live with these minor distractions, this stock is a good choice for a working replica.
