Very nice quality but colored coating is extremely poor.

I bought this kit in red and initially I was very pleased, however, upon installation my opinion was quickly changed. I used a combination of wood/polymer punches with the striking face taped for extra protection on the red coating. As careful was I was the red chipped off of every pin and even the slide catch sides. The body of the pins have the color chipped off as well and can easily be chipped off further with a fingernail. The mag release does seem to have a nice anodize opposed to whatever thick flaky coating is on the pin and slide catch. I also have a Cross Armory trigger and the color on the safety seems like a quality anodize job as well.
Safety switch is not safe.

The safety switch does not function properly and allows the rifle to be fired when switch is engaged on safe and fire. I cannot visibly tell what causes this but I replaced with a mil-spec safety switch and it functions as it should. The rest of the kit seems fine so far and functions as it should.

Highly recommended grip. Perfect fit with every lower. Very comfortable. Hogue also offers an insert for the grip that is usable battery storage. This item and the similar item with beavertail are both Highly recommended, personal preference applies.

These Hogue grip and stocks are a must have. Not only are they extremely comfortable but they function perfectly as they should with much improvement over most mil spec grips and stocks. I highly recommend
