This hand press is a must have if you are doing bullet to bore muzzleloading. First, you can use it to size your bullets for your barrel. Second, you can prime your modules with this hand press. Don't be fooled into thinking you need a hand-priming tool. This hand press does a better job of priming your priming modules. Third, you can de-prime your modules.
So the essential items for muzzleloading: your muzzleloader, modules, powder, primers, bullets, AND THIS LEE HAND PRESS.
I bought this hand- priming tool to prime my priming modules for my muzzleloader. Maybe it's only me or the system I'm using, but I've only had bad luck. First time I've used it, the primer only seated halfway so it got stuck, and I had a difficult time getting it out. The second time I used it, I hyper-extended my thumb, and then it got stuck again because it only seated halfway. The problem is that with the system I'm using, you have to press really hard to get the primer to seat all the way. I've had better luck using the Lee hand press for priming my modules. To me the hand press takes about the same amount of time as using this hand- priming tool. And much easier. I don't know how good it is with priming ammo cases. Maybe it's better for ammo cases. But if you're using it for your muzzleloader priming modules, i would either get the Lee hand press or find a different brand for your hand-priming tool.
Works as described. Great product for the price. I'm not sure how much better the night vision is than using natural vision while not using the infrared light. I've used it in the house or around the house with all the lights off, but not in the field yet. I hope to soon. With the infrared light on, the Night Owl is definitely clear and easy to see. What I'd like to find out is if using the red light in the field will make much difference in being detected by animals. The kids definitely had a good time playing with it.
