I picked up the ATN ThOR 5 XD specifically for coyote control around my property and wow, what a difference. The thermal sensor is unbelieveable – I've spotted coyotes way further out than I ever could before, even in near total darkness. It's 1280x1024, 60 Hz, and 12-micron, which I guess is why its so good. The built-in laser rangefinder is a game changer too; no more guessing at distances, I get an instant, accurate reading. The ballistic calculator is also pretty cool, though I'm still getting used to all the options. Knowing the range, wind, and other factors helps me make more ethical and humane shots. I really appreciate the recoil activated video (RAV) - it automatically starts recording when I shoot, so I've got some awsome footage of my hunts. Being able to connect through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to my phone is super handy for sharing videos and pictures with my buddies. All in all, the ThOR 5 XD has been super effective for predator control, and I highly recomend it to anyone in a similar situation. I love being able to customize the reticle too, it makes it feel like it's truly mine.
