I have several of these on Encore barrels (including hard-kickers such as 338WM, 45-70, and 500S&W). No problems with fit or finish and good quality screws(with thread-locker pre-applied). On the Encore barrels all four screws are at the back end and the front ring is floating cantilevered above the barrel; that's why the rigidity of a solid steel mount is needed (particularly with a long or heavy scope).
Tipton QC lacking

Basically a good product, would have been 5 stars if Tipton had better QC: as received threaded end would not accept any 8-32 rod-end accessories. Upon further investigation I saw that the adhesive used to secure the threaded end was in the threads. Luckily I had an 8-32 tap to chase the threads or it would have been a return.
