WMD Guns M16/AR-15 Full Auto Bolt Carrier Group (BCG) - NiB-X Nickel Boron w/ Ceramic TopCoat
I purchased a firehouse red BCG on 05/23/25 for a patriotic AR-15 build. Because I have limited funds, it took me over a year to get the barrel for the build. Having the complete lower and upper receivers, the BCG and the barrel, I was able to test the WMD BCG in the build. I was astonished to discover that the bolt would not go into battery. I tested a different BCG in my new build and it worked fine. I tested the WMD BCG in other rifles but it did not work. After several iterations of testing the BCG, including removing the WMD bolt and testing it in a different BCG (which worked fine), I decided that the WMD BCG must be out of spec. I emailed WMD's customer service late on a Friday. I live in pacific time. The WMD folks live in eastern time so Monday morning, when I woke up, I had a response from Barbara at WMD. She apologized for my difficulty and offered to ship me a new BCG immediately, though it would be US Marine Corp red. She also offered to have a BCG coated in firehouse red if I wanted to wait. I opted for the immediate USMC red BCG. It shipped that day via 2-day UPS air. She also sent me a shipping label to return my defective BCG. I shipped it on Monday. The replacement BCG arrived Wednesday evening and it works great. BUT, THAT'S NOT ALL. Barbara also included a full AR-15 parts kit in USMC red. The kit included all of the bits that go into the lower and upper receivers, the pins, dust cover, forward assist, trigger guard, bolt catch, safety, buffer retention pi

Just What You Need

If you've lost your C-clamp for your AR-15 dust cover or if you just want to have spare C-clamps on hand, this product is for you. I bought three packets (6 C-clamps) just to be sure that I will have one if I need one.

Decent and Purple
Written on Jan 06, 2025
Review for
Timber Creek AR Buffer Tube Kit
This buffer tube, weight, etc. seems to be as good as any mil spec parts. The purple is shiny and looks good. However, I am concerned that it may wear or scratch off with use. The take down and pivot pins from Timber Creek are already showing signs of wear on the edges.

Looks good, might scratch easily

Review for
Timber Creek AR Buffer Tube Kit
Fit in my lower just fine. It looks great. I've got a whole set of Tmber Creek purple parts. The pins show some wear after minimal use so I suspect that all of the parts might scratch easily.

Ruger Rocks

My 10/22 came with only a single 10-round so I definitely needed some additional magazines. These magazines fit perfectly, as would be expected for name brand parts.

Standard Mag Pouches
Written on May 21, 2024
These magazine pouches are ever so slightly thin for my standard 30 round, AR-15 magazines. They fit but they are a bit tight so you have to approach them at the right angle and wiggle them in, especially the middle pouch. However, they seem tough and rugged and they work great with the MOLLE webbing in my rifle case.

Cycled fine in my .308 DPMS (AR-10)
Written on Nov 27, 2022
I've had cycling issues with my custom built .308. The rifle is very picky about ammo. Usually, I need 160 grain ammo to ensure proper cycling but this Igman 147 grain cycled just fine through 40 rounds.
