This an excellent item. The extended lip on the bottom of the treaded portion of the buffer tube locks in to the buffer retainer pin which helps keep everything aligned while you torque down the castle nut. The result is no more canted stocks.

This is an excellent item that holds the buffer tube when tightening the castle nut. I like it because all the stress and torquing stress is on the buffer tube and not the lower receiver. This is especially helpful when you are trying to remove a stubbornly tight castle nut.
