You get what you pay for

I own multiple Rise triggers, 434/Blitz/Iconic, saw this pop up on sale and that it was PCC rated like the Blitz but at a significantly lower price point. The Rave 140 and 242 have been consistently well reviewed, the 242 gen2 revisions looked to fit my needs for my next build, so I pulled the trigger and purchased one. When I received it, dropped it into the lower and immediately realized there was a problem. The trigger interfered with the opening in the lower and only the front pin was able to be installed, nothing would make the rear pin fit outside filing either the lower or the trigger. Neither are options that should be required for a drop in unit on a mil-spec lower. Comparing to the other Rise triggers I had on hand, the Iconic was the only one that came even close to the rear of the Receiver opening, and even it had plenty of space to install and remove and function. The 434 and Blitz triggers are set further forward and almost centered in the receiver opening, no clearance issues at all. I pulled the Blitz and the 434 out of the other lowers, and they both dropped into the newest lower without any issues. The 242g2 exhibited the same issue with the other 2 lowers as well, so it was definitely an issue with the 242g2. If you look at the images, there is a half moon indent on the rear of the trigger, which appears like it was intended to be completely milled out, instead of leaving a narrow band of metal still there. If that material was removed, the interf

Exactly what I wanted

Wanted a well built pistol buffer tube that was better vented than a bog standard tube with a single vent in the rear. Nothing like pulling the trigger and getting a puff right back at you. Its lighter, if you're inclined to count ounces, I like the extended lip to interface with the buffer spring retainer and bolt carrier. The machining and finish is also high quality. I suppose it does allow for more dirt/dust to be ingested under operation, but I don't think an AR pistol is likely to be intentionally fielded into a combat situation, so probably just a minor concern. If you have a standard buffer spring, the noise will be more pronounced, but paired with a quiet buffer spring, its just smooth.
