Follow up to first review

Written on Nov 14, 2019

I’ve had these for bout a year and a half now and this is my second hunting season with them. My first review stands. Great optics. Clear crisp and good low light performance. I found out quickly though that the objective lens covers are pretty much junk. For the price, you’d think Leupold could provide quality lens covers. They don’t stay closed and will pop open as soon as you close them plus they are held on, basically with a rubber band. One fell off on my first hunting trip and I never found it. Just took the other off to avoid having to deal with it. Please Leupold, you can do better than this.

Typical Nikon

Written on Sep 24, 2019

This is my third Nikon Scope. It is well made and is crisp and clear, just like my other two and my Nikon Binos. The detents in the turrets are a little mushy but not a deal breaker. It would also be nice if it had elevation zero stop. Time will tell how well it holds zero. I have it on a 6.5 Grendel because the ballistics are very similar to .308.

Jury still out

Written on May 25, 2018

Haven’t hunted with them yet, only used them around the house. Haven’t decided how much if any better than my 8yr old pair of Nikon ATBs. They are certainly no worse though. Time will tell, as I get to use them for intended purpose

Accurate once dialed in

Written on May 23, 2018

Put one on my centerpoint sniper and now I don’t dare shoot at same point on target twice out to 60 yds. When dialing in, just chase arrows with speed dial. If low, turn speed down. If high, turn speed up, till you’re just right

Kicks butt

Written on May 23, 2018

You’d have to spend 6-700 bucks to find another withe the same performance. A better trigger would be nice but I ain’t complaining. BTW, don’t shoot at the same spot twice or your bolt bill will go up.
