The flip cap does cover the lens, so technically it does it's job, but the means by which it is secured to the scope could be better engineered. Having used my rifle with this cap in place only twice now, I have had to push the rubber sleeve back in place both times. This seems to only occur while maneuvering with the flip cap open. By "maneuvering" i mean firing the weapon, then lying it down on my personal bench rest at home, not in woods or thick underbrush. The point is: it should be more secure.

Works exactly as it should! The machining and finish is excellent, as is it's retention of my ACOG. No more crane neck! If you're on the fence, get off and buy this! I would purchase this product again. I love that it is made in my home state of Texas!
