Better than its price implies

Written on Mar 24, 2017

Make no mistake - this is a rock solid red dot that holds it's zero. The low price might confuse those used to paying much more for quality sights, but this is at least as high quality as the high priced competitors. I purchased the 503C and am very happy with its pergormance. Easy to get on zero, and the retical works great for me. The outer circle tends to be a bit dimmer than the center dot and doesn't 'get in the way' of accurate aiming. If you're looking for a good tactical red dot, this may be your best bet.

Does what it is supposed to

I used this front site to lower the one that came with my Glock replacement sites. The .245" replacement front site shot way too low compared to factory and this .200" is just about right at 50 feet. It is strong, bright and does the job.

Excellent Reddot

Written on Nov 16, 2014

I purchased this because I was looking for something quite durable for my M&P CORE, and this sure fits the bill. I was using a Trijicon RMR, but that has no off switch and I had to use tape over the sensor to get it to shut off. This red dot has multiple brightness levels and an on/off switch. It's made by Eotech, what more can I say. Has held zero very well with 9mm +P loads. I plan to buy a second one for my FNX45.

Flimsy construction

Written on Nov 02, 2014

The first time I used this on my Sig P220, it loosened up. I tightened the rail screws and the flimsy plastic mount snapped in half and the laser unit fell on the floor. No wonder this wouldn't hold a zero - it wouldn't stay on the gun. I have returned it for replacement, but still no word. This was probably a wasted purchase. The design of the rail mount is weak and has no hope of staying together. An aluminum piece would have been stronger. Save your money.
