Review for
UTG Pro AR15 Keymod Free Float Rail
Added this 17" rail to my heavy barreled 20" Bushmaster and all I can say is WOW!I know it's UTG,but it's a great rail and it was an easy install. It made my gun look absolutely great. It was a tack driver to start with shooting handloads and some factory fodder and it still had the old GI rifle handguards. Now that it's free floated it should be much easier to find a good load. This rail from UTG is AMERICAN MADE and well worth considering on any build.I bought (2) after doing the usual research I liked what I saw so much compared to other rails. You get everything needed in the kit with the rail to mount it that is specific to the rail. You don't have to purchase more tools to mount it!The directions are first rate and color to boot. And the rail is so small in outter diameter it'll make any weapon feel like a new one just from the feel, not to mention the looks.I'd buy as many of these as I needed to re-rail all my guns if I needed too.The only problem I had with the whole install was with gas blocks.I found out the hard way that a low profile JP adjustable gas block will not work with this rail as it's a clamp on block with the clamping screws clamping from the side instead of set screws that tighten from the bottom as usual. No big deal,I'll just put it on a different upper. But I did install an AR Stoner low profile adjustable with room to boot. So,most of the regularly shaped low profile gas blocks, adjustable or not should work with no problem.

I have to admit,I have a lot of money in tools for the AR.But,this is hands down the best tool in my collection for working on an upper!Period.Way better than a vise block that can leave marks on your upper. You can index the upper around on this tool to get it in any position you need for what ever you may be working in,or on the upper.Don't know how I got along without it for so long.I'll never be without this one or the longer version of this tool again. And with this tool, along with proper use, you'll never twist a receiver torqing a barrel nut.Don't work on an upper without some version of this tool again if you value your upper.
