I have an x and an xmacro honestly I can’t tell a difference when adding the ramjet to my x compared to to x macro comped. Other than grip length they shoot very comfortably. So if
You don’t want to buy a new gun the ramjet is awesome.
I haven’t installed this yet but so far the quality looks good I’ll update this review in a few and let you know how it works. I have a 7” 300blk out running pistol length gas system with a yhm suppressor which generally has worked very well. 17 designs folding lower has its own buffer system due to the folder mechanism and running a standard buckle boron coated bcg from psa. I’ve already shot a good 700-800 rounds through it as is with no major problems. I did have some issues with a particular ammo manufacturer but they shall remain unnamed. Mainly I purchased this to clean up the gas system a bit and tune the rejection pattern, as I believe it’s slightly over gassed at the moment.
If you don’t reload and you’re looking for an out of the box options for 308 that can shoot 1000 yards and not break the bank. This is your only option. Don’t get nato rounds because they are cheap you will will see the difference. I shoot out of a Ruger 308 American action tank style muzzle break, trybe defense rocs chassis, Arken optics 20 MOA scope mount, Athlon optics 8-34x56 Argos btr scope. This setup works pretty well for not breaking the bank. And the 175 grain rounds from federal is the only round I’ve found to have good accuracy at long range.
I really feel like utg is an under rated company. Most of their products are top notch from my experience, and these sights are no exception. I like them better than more expensive manufacturers and they offer all the same features but for slightly less cost. Great stuff.
It’s a really cool idea I just wish it was adjustable. Quality was great, the compartment was secure, and probably one of the largest on the market. It was really comfortable, it just didn’t match my length of pull, which was a shame because I loved the look and feel and quality. For the price it’s a great buy.
