Specifically, you have to remove the clip and the screw in order to push it on the mag well from the front.

After you do that you can't remount the little clip and screw at the trigger well until you cut off the two little tabs on the clip so that the screw holes will line up again.

Then when you get the modified clip installed , you'll then find that you cannot mount a mil-spec Magpul AR-15 magazine which mounted in the same receiver just fine, all day long without this magwell grip installed.

If you want to modify all of your Magpul polymer magazines, you can make them work, but I choose not to do that. Rather, I'm sending it back for a refund.

It probably will work with stanag metal magazines, which don't have the polymer stops on the front, unmodified, which as far as I know come with a maximum capacity 30 rounds and I'm working with 40 round polymer mags.

Plus it extends the front of your magazine well effectively out another inch which I don't like on a pistol with a 5 inch barrel and shorter shroud. it could and should be a lot tighter.

Up front anybody who says that this works fine in the reviews is either lying or they don't know what they're talking about. But I do because I'm an ex-marine and I know the weapons and how they work. This product will not mount an AR-15 magazine well with the upper installed without modification. Details: First of all the instructions are wrong that say to insert it and then remove a head screw. The head screw sticks over the lip you can't insert it without removing it first. The second thing that's wrong is you just put it in like a normal magazine it says and it clicks in. Wrong. You have to to get this to go in you have to remove the upper and then you have to depress the mad catch and then you can insert it but then you can't get the upper back on. You can't get the butt app or back on because there's this insane fixed spike coming out of the top of it it looks like the head of a slotted screwdriver that runs into your bolt carrier group. I'm going to I'm going to disassemble the top of it and see if I can take that spike this sticking up out and see if it works. Otherwise I'm sending it back.

First thing I noticed is there's instructions for color coded spring combinations of black red and blue except for the black ones don't come with the kit. Also the folding block when folded doesn't lock in with some kind of button or lever to depress when unfolding it again. Rather it just stays folded under friction, so I expect it to flop back out when shooting it. There's two tiny screws the top side and bottom side where it folds that I thought were tensioners for friction but they're not so it's basically passive full retention no like $10 kydex holsters or passive retention. They could have easily engineered a button system where the screws are and put a positive button release to unfold it but I guess that would have cost them maybe 3 cents more, so they didn't. Instructions suck. You got to pretty much know your weapon in the parts in order to follow them. there's no illustrations and and it says see videos on the website, which are non-existent and just more printed instructions that you can't enlarge to see on your phone. And it doesn't say anywhere that the videos are on YouTube. You have to guess. Every step in the instruction starts out with "locate..." Because the person writing the instructions apparently has that word on his freaking brain.

Red ghost dot about an inch lower than the real red one in the front screws up my muscle memory for fast drawing rapid side acquisition. Plus the base is super thick and on a Sig p320 m17 with trijicon suppressor height sights, they barely peek over the base.

My suppressor height sights barely peek over the base ofthe RCR has mounted on a Sig p320 M17. What is more ridiculous is that the suppressor sites are trijicon's only ones available for this model which has the screw in integrated plate and rear sight. The base of the RCR is taller than most optics so view with through my to my front sight blade is only of like three quarters of the DOT in the front blade! that's how little of my iron suppressor sights are usable because of theridiculous height and also, I got to admit, the ridiculously shallow factory optic cut in the Sig p320 M17 doesn't help at all. But frankly I'm using an integrated trijicon the only one at trijicon for this pistol, rmr plate, that if trijicon wanted to they can make the iron sight set taller. OR MAKE THE RCR BASE SHORTER.

I have long been cmr204,less than pleased owner & just replaced it with a TLR8ag from a seller on Ebay,which is now mounted & sighted in.

-5x brighter light than CMR 204 (specs are 100 lumens for 204 vs. 500 lumens for TLR-8ag)

-much better easer, more secure, (closer to weapon, better adapters, one screw tightening) spring loaded mount)mounting than CMR-204

-brighter laser than cmr-204.Held side by side, on shining at same wall, TLR-8 is brighter& crisper.

-better positioned switches with better design, including activation motion, quality and pressure needed for activation than CMR204

-tighter, identical (uses same size allen wrench)adjustment screws than CMR 204

-unlike my CMR 204 out of the box, I didn't have to take the TLR8ag apart to reengineer the tiny switches to make them work without pressing them very hard. I had to take the CMR-204 add material to the tiny protrusions that touch the switch board of the CMR 204!?! but wait, that's not all: I tr5aded in two others before that with the same problem before I was able to diagnose the issue and fix it on the third CMR-204 I received!

-better, easier way to change between light configurations than the CMR-204.
