Aimtech Scope Mount

This is the way to go for adding a scope to your 1911. If you want to leave it on permanently then install the pins and the grip screws. If you want to just shoot for the afternoon just use the grip screws. It locks up solid either way. For my purposes I would have preferred to have the mount sit as low as possible to facilitate minimum error from line of sight but others may prefer the ability to still use the iron sights.

You almost always get no better than what you pay for and this scope is no exception.The clarity and peripheral distortion increases with magnification making the higher zoom settings less than ideal but still usable. No better than what you would expect for the price. I had hoped for better but it just didn't happen.
