Kensight M14 Scope Mount
Great price and delivery from Optics Planet! The mount itself is very well made, nicely finished, and stable. It weighs in at 9.6oz, making it only 0.6oz heavier than the Sadlak Airborne mount (which costs $125-$175 more). Its split design also allows for clearance for casings to eject or to clear malfunctions. I was unsure if the length would be enough, but it ended up being just fine for my scope (besides, what girl would want 7in when 6in is obviously already massive?). My only knock against this mount is it didn't come with install instructions, and I couldn't find any on Kensight's website. Thankfully, Forgotten Weapons has a video where Ian is installing this mount and provides the torque specs (65in-lbs for the cam bolt, 30-35in-lbs for the stripper clip guide screw, contact + ~1/8 of a turn for the front screw, and tight for the set screw; video is titled "Creating my Shughart Black Hawk Down M14 Clone," timestamp 1:02 - unable to link due to AI moderation). Even though this mount may not have the track record of more established brands, I'd say it's worth a look!

Well made, but poor design for my use.

Review for
Viking Tactics VTAC Buttstock Adapter
I bought this to use on an M14/M1A, and it put the D-ring squarely in that pressure point under my jaw. I flipped it over (defeating the purpose of where I wanted the sling positioned), and the buckle was then under my chin. Due to the design of the buckle and the way the velcro feeds through, it constantly gets stuck, making it hard to install, adjust, and take off. It's well made, like all VTAC products, but it didn't work for me. I'd recommend the Blue Force Gear over this.
