This is a good stock for the money but it could be a little better. For one you shouldn't have to order the buttpad for it separately. I would have paid a little more for it to have been integral to the stock. I also would have liked to have seen the stock installation holes for the tang already drilled. They could do separate versions for stamped and milled rifles to accomplish this but that might increase the cost. Believe it or not there are people that wouldn't know the proper way to drill the hole themselves. There is also some junk from the molding process that could have been removed better from the factory but that is easy to clean up with light sandpaper or a file. Overall the stock is good if you know how to do the above to install and clean it up.

The handguard is okay. I don't like that it bolts together. This makes for a little bit of a pain to remove the gas tube for cleaning. It also isn't heat shielded and is vented right where someone would place their hands. Either wear gloves, add a small rail section for a forward vertical grip, or use a mag grip with this handguard. The handguard also needs the same light sanding/filing in places that the stock does.

All in all I would recommend this combo to someone that knows how to properly drill holes in stocks and clean up left over flash from molded polymer parts. If it weren't for the lack of heat shielding and having to sand/file off junk I would have given this 5 stars. I'm taking off a star for th
