This shroud was too tight and difficult to install (and subsequently remove). It seems as if there wasn't enough material removed during machining and the interior diameter was too small. Once installed and the bolt placed back in the rifle, I could barely work the bolt. I removed this shroud and reinstalled the cheap plastic shroud --- voila --- worked fine.

I'd decided that I really needed a magnified optic because of my nearsightedness and astigmatism. The Burris AR 332 and Vortex Spitfire 3X were on my list but I didn't want to spend over $200 and eye relief was a concern.
I had all but ordered the Nikon P-223 after reading reviews when I came across the Core TX 4x32 AR .223 scope: slightly higher magnification and an illuminated reticle.
Reticle illumination is red or green (not that bright but fine in dusk and other low light conditions; green is the brightest).
The reticle itself is a horseshoe with center dot and holdover lines that are clearly etched.
The provided rings are adequate and fairly lightweight and mounting the scope was straightforward.
I found the eye relief to be good with either my glasses or contacts. Sightmark claims 4" of eye relief but I would say closer to 3 - 3.5" after adjusting the mounting position on my AR to suit my preferences wearing either my glasses or contacts.
Zeroing was also straightforward and the 4X magnification made it much easier for my "not what it used to be" eyesight to hit targets past 100 yds.

I have this unit mounted on my M400 and it seems perfectly good for home defense use.
The features are a big plus — programmable, has a pressure switch (or can be run without), the mounting options, and perhaps best of all the ability to us a AA battery if the CR123 poops out unexpectedly — pretty good chance of coming up with an AA in a pinch.
It’s also compact and feels solid.
I’d certainly defer to expert opinions if considering this for professional use. That being said, it’ll light up a dark room or hallway pretty well.

I bought a sight ready platform AR and,
1. I wasn’t set on which optic I wanted
2. I was on a budget
3. Regardless, I wanted quality iron sights
I chose to go with Troy Fixed Battle Sights, front and rear (went with HK style front). These are rugged, solid, quality sights. I thought I’d wind up removing them after deciding on an optic — I’m now on my second optic but I don’t think I’ll be ditching these anytime soon.
Both optics were / are set up for lower 1/3rd co-witness. I’ve become very accustomed to the sight picture and frankly, the simplicity of these fixed sights.

High quality and rock solid. I installed with thread lock to be safe and no issues as some others have reported. Ultimately just what I was looking for. The modular design allows you to select which length to use, but if I had my preference I’d have purchased this item if it only came in the short (not stubby) size. It’s aluminum so there is some heat transfer; I’d didn’t find this to be an issue after going through 100+ rounds on the range the other day. I suppose if you’re going to be shooting more in one sitting, it could be an issue if you aren’t wearing gloves. Would have gone 5 stars if it were about $20 less expensive.

I opted for this red only model after reading a number of reviews concerning the red and green variant washing out in certain conditions. This thing gets very bright - but fuzzy - when you use higher settings. Happy overall despite the size.

I ordered and paired this with a Vortex Strikefire II red dot (didn’t like the cantilever mount). I prefer a lower 1/3 co-witness and the height of this unit is just slightly taller than the stock Vortex mount and results in a clean sight picture. The QD functionality is easy to set and rock solid when done. Fit and finish are very good. I’ve had my red dot on and off the rail and this QD unit holds zero dependably.

This is a fantastic replacement for a gritty stock / OEM trigger (Sig M400 in my case). The polishing and coating on the surfaces was surprisingly good for such an affordable trigger. Two choices for pull weight depending on which of the provided hammer springs you choose (I opted for the heavier - about 6 lbs.). Very crisp feel. I watched video reviews of this and a few other replacement triggers and I’m very happy with my choice. There are of course many terrific products out there but I don’t think you can go wrong at this price.
