I like the way this stock looks better than the standard MOE stocks. But beyond aesthetics, the stock is only slightly heavier, has greatly reduced wobble, and provides a QD sling socket. It also allows for multiple sling attachment slots in case you don't want to run a QD socket. Install and removal are fairly easy. Adjustment works well and is unobtrusive.

I'm not sure what is so difficult about providing torque specs for a scope mount. This mount seems to be good quality. However, no torque specs were provided so I was left to guess about it based on other scopes with similar cross bolt size. The nut, which appears to be glued into the mount, ended up stripping (or breaking free) so I had to return it for a new one. I have two of these mounts (one 30mmm and one 1" tube) and they hold tight, keeping the scope zeroed. You just have to be careful not to over-tighten - maybe no more than 30 in lbs. Or call the manufacturer and ask.

I paired the 10.5" barreled upper receiver from Grid Defense with a BCG and charging handle from Anderson Mfg and a carbine-buffered lower with pistol brace from PSA. I have had it to the range one time so far. I ran about 50 rounds of PMC 223 through it without any issues. It seems much quieter than I had expected, but not sure what the guy on my right side thought about it. I like the nitrided barrel. I also like the free-float m-lok hand guard. The hand guard has holes cut on both sides to accept a QD sling swivel which is nice. And I also like that the picatinny rail does not extend down the full length of the hand guard, leaving room in the center for your hand if you want to use a C-clamp style grip. This is my second AR upper receiver from Grid Defense. The other one is pretty much the same setup only it has a 16" barrel and longer hand guard. The fit and finish on both are excellent. If you're looking for a nice budget option, I highly recommend Grid Defense uppers.

This ACSS Aurora reticle has it all: precision chevron for CQB, BDC holds out to 800yds, wind holds for 5 and 10mph, moving target holds, multiple auto-ranging features. The reticle is crisp and clear, even for my old eyes. The scope housing is compact and sturdy. The mount is strong and versatile with multiple height options. I like the 12-o-clock red-dot mount too. By rotating the rifle 45 degrees counter-clockwise, the top-mounted optic falls in line with your left eye for up-close target engagement. The diopter allows for customized focus in case you do not have 20-20 vision. While this scope is much lighter weight than an LPVO, it still is a hefty 18+ ounces. There are newer prism offerings from Primary Arms and other scope manufacturers that are significantly lighter although the eye relief may not be as good. I also ordered the anti-reflection device to reduce glare and the AR carry handle mount kits, but I have not tried them yet.

This grip gives you a little something extra to help pull the gun into your shoulder for better control. Not quite as aggressive as the Magpul vertical grips, but also not as intrusive. I like to use a "C" grip on the fore end when using this grip and hook my index finger around the front of the grip. I like this grip best on a free-float hand guard, but it also works well on a mid-length or rifle-length polymer handguard when you have a fixed front sight post. For a carbine length hand-guard, I actually prefer a vertical grip. This grip is small and light weight and the price is reasonable.

I have several of the unpadded VTAC slings for different MSRs. The build quality is excellent. The webbing is strong, light-weight and flexible. The plastic keepers are strong and light-weight. And the steel quick-adjuster allows for easily adjusting the sling length for rifle transitions while keeping the sling length securely where you put it. I also like the Blue-Force gear adjustable slings, but the VTAC is superior overall in my opinion.
