Great bag!

Written on Feb 06, 2018

Well-made bag, lots of pockets. Includes an internal, slide-out bag that can open up the inside cavity to massive size if you wish, besides giving you that extra tote for carrying essential gear. Lots of mag slots and such ... I've gotten rid of two or three smaller bags and use this one as my big go-to bag for range trips. This thing, in short, is shweet! Well worth the price.

Great optic for my S and W Victory

Written on Oct 02, 2017

So far, this optic is working great in tandem with my S and W Victory. I'd tried some other optics but just wasn't happy with them. Read the reviews on the DeltaPoint Pro and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did! It sucks having to buy a separate mount but hey, I knew that going in so at least it wasn't a surprise. I have the 7 MOA triangle, which is very intuitive to me. Put the point of the triangle on the target and pull the trigger ... boom. This optic is parallax-free, a welcome change from the cheaper optics I'd tried. I recommend this one!

Good holster for my S&W Victory

Written on Sep 16, 2016

I've had difficulty finding a holster designed for my S&W Victory. For some reason, holster manufacturers that make tailor-made holsters for every specific pistol on the planet decide to skip over the Victory. At last, I found this Bianchi holster. The fit is very nice. I haven't installed my Romeo1 sight yet (waiting on it to release this fall) but from appearances the pistol will fit in the holster with the sight installed. This isn't a fancy holster but it's cheap, and for the price I think it's a good value, and as I said, good luck finding holsters for the Victory at any price level. I do recommend this holster - it's ugly but functional, and that's all I need out of it.

Great eyepiece made just for the Leupold scope

Written on Aug 12, 2016

Nice little flipback eyepiece by Leupold, made specifically for their scope. Fits well and works like a charm. Not cheap but worth the investment to protect your glass. I'm happy with my purchase and don't see any cons other than price.

Really really cheapo product

Written on Feb 18, 2016

Okay, so the price is cheap, so for the money you don't get ripped off. The problem is that they are just cheaply made chunks of plastic. Butler Creek has clearly gone down in quality over the past couple of years, very disappointing. These are not perfectly round, so if you want to keep out moisture, use a generous amount of thread locker. And you most likely will still get moisture on a rainy day coming in through the cap. It's unfortunate that Butler Creek is the only option for those who want to protect their expensive glass. Surely someone will come along and create a higher quality level of protection, for which I would gladly pay extra cash. I can't in good conscience recommend these, they are barely functional.

Typical Leupold quality

Written on Feb 18, 2016

These are high-quality rings, typical of Leupold products. Easy to install, work like champs. I installed them on my Armalite AR-10 in a matter of moments, then installed my Nikon Prostaff in about the same length of time. I definitely recommend these.
