It's cool and realitively cheap. I had one range day with it, and it makes first shot hits much more of a common place. The Fire 4000 gives a specific solution to your specific target FAST. I brought 2 rifles that day that I had to zero then have some fun after. One 6.5cm bolt rifle with the Fire 4000 mounted and one 308 semi auto without the fire 4000. Once i zeroed my 6.5cm and the Fire 4000 laser, it was off to the races. Literally bouncing from target to target anywhere from 400yds -900yds using the Fire 4000 data and my Xmas tree reticle. It's as simple as aim your scope at the target, press the the range finder button, and instantly get your solution. Then when I put away my 6.5cm and brought out my 308, it felt like the stone ages. Range says that mound of targets is 600 yards but Im shooting at the swinging target on the very left. Does that add distance? Aww screw it I'll use my 600 yard DOPE. Let me take out my kestrel. Scroll to 600 yards. Miss... It was low and right so I'll aim top left edge... Rinse, repeat for every target change.

It's not all sunshine and roses, but as long as you know what you're buying it's pretty cool. The Fire 4000 does not have weather but does have internal AB ballistic calculator. It's blutooth can connect to your phone or kestrel for weather and/or ballistics. Just know if you're relying on the phone or kestrel for ballistics, the blutooth can disconnect which will delay your dialing feedback until it reconnects. I.e. you lock in the
