perfect, secure fit on my 2015 5.56 mini-14

There is nothing better than the precise, solid feel of these rings. Rather than mounting a rail and then using weaver or Picatinny, these Warne Ruger rings made a direct connection between your optic and the receiver. It feels very elegant and solid. There's about 3/16" clearance for the sliding bolt on the mini-14, and generous clearance between my scope and the rifle barrel. I used these to mount a 4x32 Zeiss scope on my 2015 5.56 mini-14 (serial 583-*; stainless barrel.) This scope has a 1.5" diameter front optical bell.
One difficulty I had with installation was placing the small silver-colored keys into the receiver slots, before mounting the ring clamps into the dovetail notches. These small crossways keys were a very tight fit in my receiver, and I had to tap them in gently with a brass hammer. This is perhaps by design, and I think this should only increase the stability of the connection.
Of course another pro would be Warne manufactures in the United States. Fit and finish is excellent, and they seem to have a good warranty, although I don't expect to have to use it.
