I wanted a small MLOK Arca rail for mounting an AR-10 on a tripod. My rail space was limited though so a 4 inch+ Arca rail wasn’t an option.
This one was a perfect fit though cause it takes only one MLOK slot and fit on my rail right in front of the mag well.
One thing it’s lacking though is the raised MLOK guides that every other MLOK attachment has around the screw holes to keep it lined up straight on the slot. This just has the screw holes on a completely flat surface. When tightening the screws you have to keep it from going crooked when tightening them. Such a simple fix for 419 to make, maybe there’s a reason for this that I don’t understand?
Other than that, I think the price is steep for something so small and simple. I guess 419 knows guys in the long-range community are used to high prices on parts so they can price this high as well.
This one of the best bang for your buck red dots. It’s nothing special but for the price it competes with all other red dots at this price point. Primary Arms is a solid brand with a great warranty.
The other review complains that the lens is angled… Rest assured that it’s supposed to be that way and not a defect. Most red dots have an angled objective lens to reflect the emitted dot back to the shooter’s eye. Carry on…
