Excellent low mount

I have used several mounts from American Defense. They have been well machined and operate flawlessly; this one is no exception. I mounted an RMR on a forward mount on a tanker. Because the stock has a low comb to use iron sights I used a cheek piece to get a proper fit. I love the RMR's on long guns and this mount made that set up easy and tough. Lockup is tight and nothing moves even with .308 recoil and a heavy op rod flying both directions. Excellent kit.
Better than you think

I've tested this in and 8" and 10.5" upper. Accuracy was superb with both uppers coming in with under 1" @ 50yds both using RD sights. Velocities were surprising in both uppers breaking 2K fps with the 10.5 touching 2100 fps. That is just shy of Barnes 120 gr full up loads. Combine that with very clean burning powders, flash suppressed and impressive bullet performance this load is nearly ideal for under 150 yd shooting on mid sized game or as a defensive round.

Everything I can determine on this pin it is right at mil-spec (length, diameter, base thickness). It fits perfectly in high end bolts (DD, BCM, LWRC). Will advise if things go south upon testing but for now I will leave it 5 stars.
