I have had 4 of these. 3 still work just fine. My original 552 has finally given up and if I hadn’t let the batteries corrode it would probably still be going too. I want to say I read a review that was listed as most helpful. It was mostly correct. It compared EXPS3s 1moa dot with T2s 2moa dot and said that a 3x magnifier made the 1moa dot still cover an inch at 100 yards and 3 inches at 300, which is true. But it said the 2moa dot covers 18” at 300, which is not true. It still covers 6”@300 yds and 2”@100 yds. When a magnifier is used behind either sight it magnifies the whole sight picture, the target and reticle, 3 times. The dots still subtend the same distance they do before magnifying. It’s just like shooting a First Focal Plane scope. Just sayin’.
I have this in FDE with a TReMOR 2 reticle on an LE901FDE with a gen 3 Magpul PRS in FDE and AAC 762SDN6 (soon to be FDE). If it's over an moa and under 800 yds it's mine! I really wish I had this setup 42 years ago when I really could have used it to full advantage. Low power allows seeing multiple openings close in and high power allows accurate engagement further than I should need.
