Recently I built an AR15 using a Rosco 12.5" barrel and the Aero M4E1 receiver set. I wasn't sure if the superlative piston system would be a good choice, but after my first trip to the range I was very pleased with how well this product preforms. If you're familiar with Piston vs Direct Impingement and what benefits a piston system offers such as a cleaner, more reliable and over all cooler running rifle. You will not be disappointed with this product because it delivers in all areas and then some. I was very happy with the ease of installation and the simplicity of the first use. As I started to put more and more rounds through. I was happy to see the claim of reliability was also true all be it with some slight adjustments and a little trial and error. That is one thing when you fire your first few rounds you will have to adjust the settings with the screw on the front of the gas block to get it to cycle properly but it is very easy. It does not have an easy to adjust lever or built in way to adjust it so you will need to use the supplied allen key, but with that being said this provides more options and I don't mind having to use a tool if that is going to give me the ability to tune my rifle exactly how I want it. With other adjustable gas blocks you find yourself having to settle for whatever setting is closest to where you want to be and with the Superlative you can choose exactly where your rifle works best. That is not my favorite part of the system though, that woul

This handguard is a great deal and fits great. The look is aggressive and really compliments my AR build. I am using it on a 12.5 Rosco barrel and have a three prong for a muzzle device and I am very happy with the fit and finish. One thing to note is I am using a superlative arms carbine length piston retrofit kit and it fits over top of that even with how compact it is. I’d be lying if i said it wasn’t a tight fight but it is not contacting the gas lock in a way that is going to hurt accuracy at all. The barre nut threads perfectly onto an Aero M4e1 upper receiver and matches really well.
