excellent entry level

I bought the lto quest and was not happy with the performance so I returned it and tried the lto tracker. I used it for about a week on coyote hunts. I could see them at about 200 yards but couldn’t tell what it was. Not bad for what I wanted it for though. After a lot of thinking and testing I just couldn’t justify the money it costs and returned it. I then took my chances on the LTO HD from OpticsPlanet since it was on sale and... yep. This ones a keeper. I can detect at 250 yards and probably further but the area I’ve been using it is that far to the wood line. At that distance I can tell if it’s a deer or a coyote and obviously the closer it is the more defined things become. Zoom is not really worth using. I tend to leave it on 1.3x. The quality is great. I can spot my horses in the pasture while I’m 100+ yards into the woods so it def detects well. A lot of people have issues with the backlight illuminating your face. It’s not an issue. There isn’t much literature included with the device (or a lanyard, case, caps or anything for that matter) but I’ve learned that if you hold the color mode button down it brings up the brightness adjustment. What a great find. All in all this thing is a win. You can comfortably scan large fields and when you get a blip you just put it away and bust out the xsight 4K pro to handle the situation appropriately. Fun fun fun

Great for what it is

This is a great starter unit. It burns through batteries and is sometimes a little grainy but this thing does way more than you would ever expect a unit at this price point to do. The focus ring takes like 30 rotations to adjust but once you get there it looks pretty good. Like I said. Way better than I ever expected. 75 yards is very clear

The most fun...ever

Ill tell you like I wish someone would have for me. I read countless reviews before purchasing this and decided to take the gamble. I figured with a 30 day return policy why not. It seems to me that either people that are having issues just don’t really know how to use it or the quality control is hit and miss. I can say with certainty that I got a perfectly functioning scope that does everything they say it does and does it well. I have killed so many coyotes since I’ve had this. 300 yards in pitch black is easily obtainable. I have the 3–14x and I would say at that range, anything over 5 looks worse. With the Illuminator focused right in its not bad but for me, 3x is fine and there’s no pixelation at all. If they’re within 100 yards you can zoom right in and make a nice little movie before you smoke them. I upload the videos every night to my phone and show everyone. It’s a huge hit. Without a doubt worth every penny. I’d pay over 1k for this scope now that I know what it can do. If you’re on the fence. Buy it. Mine froze two times right out of the box until I read the instructions. Once I went into the menu and selected the version I had it hasn’t so much and flickered. I go out every night for at least 3 hours. The battery has never dropped below 3/4. Partially due to the fact that you don’t need to leave it on. It powers up so fast that if you hit the power button and turn the Illuminator on by the time you shoulder it, it’s ready. The little rubber caps that cover the s
