Solid feel, beats plastic
Written on Mar 10, 2019
I know Ruger says that the plastic shroud doesn’t make a difference in performance or accuracy, but replacing the titanium bolt shroud definitely gives it a solid feel with smooth performance. A little extra in weight, but not enough to truly make a difference when you’re hauling this rifle around. Plus, you can always just keep the trigger tool from the plastic shroud in your range bag or pocket. I don’t adjust my trigger pull enough to necessarily need it at all times so it doesn’t seem like much of a loss to me with replacing the shroud. I will mention that there is another manufacturer that does make a shroud replacement that does contain the tool if you really don’t want to lose the tool.

Great if you're hauling a few extra things

Review for
Vertx EDC Commuter Sling Bag
So far, this bag has been very durable and has met my EDC needs when I'm hauling along extra things. I was surprised at how much I could actually fit into the bag. I was able to comfortably put in my laptop, 4 books, my charger, and my over the ear headphones with room to spare. This is all along with my handgun packed neatly in the back. Only issue is that when carrying so much, it weighs pretty heavily on your left shoulder, which can be burdensome after a while. In the future, I won't be packing as much extra items anyway so this shouldn't be a problem. A lot of customization options available which is also a plus for anyone. You can tell the bag is made of quality materials as well. Zippers run smoothly and don't seem to catch on loose materials lining the zipper.
