Great option

Written on Oct 26, 2018

The alpha series barrels are a better breed than their predecessors and offer increased performance across the board. Option are plentiful and finished are excellent as are the fit. This particular barrel gives you the ability to shoot the more plentiful and affordable 9mm round in your 27/32 which is like doubling your gun collection for a fraction of the price. Win win!

Great sights

Everything you need and nothing you don't. Great price and value for a sight set that does it all. Front dot is fast and easy to pick up even with old eyes and the U notch makes proper alignment simple and intuitive.

A whole lotta bang

Written on Oct 25, 2018

For your buck and arguably 1 of the best barrels on the market. These won't break your bank in the process but offer huge benefits over stock. A minor feed ramp polishing is highly recommended as these tend to be tight but otherwise I've had 0 complaints with any of them I've used and there been a few (7) to be exact !

Great Deal

Written on Oct 25, 2018

If you're looking to build an AR9 this is the way to get started right here. Affordable upper and bcg combo that is dedicated for 9mm use. Finish is flat black anodized but I question it's quality since the packaging it arrived in has scuffed it up pretty well. Charging handle is playing Jane but can easily be swapped out or upgraded with most any other. BCG seems to be well built and time will tell in the long run.

Affordable option

Written on Oct 25, 2018

That is a decent enough handguard and mounts straight forward enough but sadly it missed a mark that it should've nailed first and foremost. The lines/angles of it do not match their own custom upper(s) which in some pictures it appeared to and was the main reason I purchased. The finish is ok albeit thin and not quite a match for their upper either but in my care I'm certain do that not a huge issue but in most others cases that may be a point of contention.

Tritium Pro sights

Written on Oct 25, 2018

Whether low, high or MOS these sights are arguably the best thing TruGlo has done since, EVER ! Like millions of others I've owned TruGlo sights in various forms for multiple guns over the years and have made friends with folks at TruGlo and had multiple discussions regarding their sights at trade shows and over the phone and via email. These literally represent everything I've asked for all in 1 package all these years. They are nearly perfect. In fact and if I'm being a bit persnickety their only flaw or draw back is the finish. While it's good and should be fine for the most part but it could be better, say melonite as opposed to the phosphate finish which is actually used. They offer a selection of mounting options for the most popular guns currently and are feature rich. Large white front outer ring/dot which draws your attention quickly and features a bright Tritium vile nested in its center which come low light, dark situations is easily picked up on. Moving to the rear they first offer a steel body that is strong and durable and shaped in such a way as to lend itself to off hand manipulations and single handed manipulations easily due to its large flat front face with a forward leaning ledge which acts as a hook of sorts. Then there is a U shaped notch which simplifies sight picture by requiring only sitting the fat white ball in the basket so to speak. Also the rear uses Tritium viles sat in blacked out inserts with smoked glass that in day light gives a blacked out
