Review for
Choate Tool Ak-47 Clip Connector
I bought this because it says it connects AK47 magazines. I tried every AK47 mag I had, the PMag, Magpul, Bolgarian, Yugos, and even my Romanian ones but nothing fit the channel. I then tried all the mags for my AR10 and AR15’s and the ONLY mags this thing fits are the factory AR15 steel or OEM style Duramags. NOT for AK47!
Good Quality Bits

I bought this as one of OpticPlanet’s killer deals. Upon arrival I was blown away by the quality of the bits. They are chromed and fit into ‘marked’ rubber magnetic holders in neat rows. The set comes w/a qtr inch nut driver adapter which makes this set well worth it’s cost. Don’t get me wrong, the included screwdriver and extension work well but the obvious best feature is the array of bits.
P80 - Flared Magwell

As with most of the P80 stuff it required a little bit of filing and light sanding of the frame to get it to fit tight and sit correctly. The finished result was well worth the effort. To me this is half the fun of buying gun parts and the finished look was what I wanted.

Nice Heavy Case

This case is built like a tank and weighs a ton. I purchased this case for my 700 Remington w/Suppressor and Burris scope. I needed room to be able to accommodate a large scope and a semi-long rifle plus have room to store the Suppressor. When the case is loaded I bet it easily weighs over 120-130lbs but the case has no problems supporting the weight.

Looks Neat But.......

If you’ve ever taken an ejection port cover off an AR10 than you know it’s WAY harder than doing an AR15. That said I took my PSA apart cuz the Delta Ring was in the way after all that trouble this thing fit like garbage! It barely closes halfway and looks like I’d have to do some a lot of filing to possibly get it to fit. Do yourself a favor and skip this one! SI usually makes cool stuff that fits and functions well but.... this was NOT it!
