Fit great, love the pockets and layout

Written on Apr 05, 2024

I'm kinda picky when it comes to pants, and these fit great. The pockets are in the perfect places, easy to carry the things I like to always have on me. They are well made, good stitching, seems they will last thus far... Also my wife even likes these pants!

Shoulder holster works great

Written on Oct 24, 2023

I use this with my S&W Model 60 (stainless, 2.125", .357 Mag). Also works with other revolvers, have carried my S&W 637 in it as well. It does fit a bit on the tight side with the Hogue monogrip, but no problems un-holstering or carrying it all-day. Very comfortable, the reload-pouches hold Safariland COMP I speed-loaders just fine.

NOTE:
Of course you need to practice reloading with your left-hand grabbing the reloader, which isn't difficult at all. It's just not 'traditional' in the wheel-gun world, but I've found it to be faster/simpler/easier and is generally my go-to reload for all my revolvers (686 L-frame being frequently carried [in other holsters of course])... Just a note for those that like revolvers like me, but also carry Glock from time to time...

Just for fun shooting clays!

Written on May 29, 2021

I'm not a pro at this, but going from tossing clays by hand, to using this. Night and day! 100% recommend if your getting into blasting clays with your shotty.

Once you get it put together it's really simple to adjust angle, tension, and release. Just bolts together, the instructions are easy enough to follow.

You can set this to really steep angles or low, also it didn't break/chip away any of the clays it has thrown (thus far) for me. Which I've used cheaper ones in the past that would chip/break clays 50% of the time. Also this is very consistent with keeping the clay going pretty much straight out in-front.

Works on my Mossberg 590A1

Written on Mar 20, 2021

Easy to install, plenty of videos/instructions on the internet to tell you how.

It works fine with my 590A1, the only 'gripe' I would say is this doesn't work with the Magpul paraclips. The metal loop part is just too thick for those to clamp onto, but nothing a little 550 cord doesn't fix. Would buy again, especially for any 'tactical' shotgun.

Fits perfectly in my Tisas 1911

Written on Feb 15, 2021

Just want to share the good news for anyone that might also want a simple upgrade to their lower cost 1911, I'm new to this series of handgun. One of the first upgrades I had to do with mine was change out the short mag-release to this one. It is a super easy install, 0 fitting, and it works great.

Also would suggest a little Blue loctite on the threads that hold the extended button onto the release after you get yours installed, just a dab will do.

A ton of haters will try and steer you away, but if you want to read a positive review look here:

I like mine, no really, I do. For the price this scratches the NODs itch for me, and I don't care to spend anymore on any other type of I2 device. I've used PVS-14s (gen3) a bit, that's pretty neat stuff, but I didn't find them $2.5-4k "cool".. If you're looking to spend more than $2.5K on a NOD/I2, I would darn near just get into a decent thermal/FLIR device then...

Short and simple:
This will not see anything in pitch-black conditions, it WILL REQUIRE some form of ambient light. It does utilize IR light EXTREMELY-EFFICIENTLY, indoors when it's pitch-black, I found using a simple/cheap/small "Nitecore NU05 MI" to work great. For seeing things outside in very-dark conditions, I'll use my ACH/helmet mounted Inforce WML with IR. Which leads to the next thing, it mounts great for use on a helmet. I use an aluminum (knock off) Wilcox G24, then a Lions Gear FAST mount to attach the Aurora Pro. I also use an Anker battery that goes in a small rear-pouch on the helmet, then run a short USB-power cord to the device for extra run-time.

-This will work pretty well if you live in-town or if enough ambient light is available. Which does include moon-light, starlight, or lots of snow on the ground to reflect moon/starlight. Being that it's winter as I'm writing this, I've found the snow-covered terrain is pretty helpful.
-I also have a few IR flashlights/illuminators and have found this device 'uses' IR light really well.
-Image quality is great, no 'fishbowl' or anything like that

It looks mean

Written on Jan 28, 2021

As with most carry ammo, JHP of some flavor is what I normally run. This stuff looks a bit menacing compared to other brands, not that it's important in what you want for carry-ammo. But from all the reviews I can find this is good to go, only grip is when it finally arrived one of the boxes popped open and rounds were all scattered inside the package. Stuff happens, didn't lose anything though. I'm happy with these.

Simple and Effective

Just works great, another tool that goes in the range bag. Seems a bit better built that other competitors as well, the price is also right so no excuse not to add this to your cart. Not much else to say...

Works with Safariland GL8C Comp II Speedloader

Written on Dec 03, 2020

I searched the internet for anyone that tried this with a Safariland Speedloader (comp II) and didn't turn up much. So I took a chance and bought this, and it works! It seems to be of good quality materials, I like that it basically has 3 adjustments for belt-sizes. Top screw-slot, bottom screw-slot, or take the screws out for max-size. But for most EDC type belts this should probably work fine, unless your belt is extra thick, then the rounds themselves may not straddle the belt very well... I did take a few pictures, but not sure if I can upload them here...

Well made, very simple, just what I wanted

Written on Nov 26, 2020

It isn't a backpack in the normal sense, in that I would NOT LOOK at getting this thing to carry around a bunch of stuff.

But, if you want something to carry all of your EDC essentials, this is probably it. Carrying around your wallet, phone, handgun, knife, TQ, mag, etc. This excels, now I don't 'normally' advocate for off-body or bag-carry. However this is actually a viable option for going places that you may otherwise not be able to carry-concealed at all, or circumstances where you may not be comfortable wearing a gun-belt. Like on those hot/muggy summer days where maybe you just wanna wear gym shorts and a T-shirt... This sling-bag fits that mission perfectly.

The one 'con' is that drawing your pistol from this is slower than typical belt-mounted holsters (duh). Especially if you start from it slung behind you, but it is really easy/fast to slide it around to your front. Also fully ambi to suit whatever your dominant side is. It's nothing unexpected or unworkable though, no different than many waist/chest packs (which I like those options as well).
