Finally, the bipod ive been looking for

I do long range shooting at the range here in Northeast Texas. I’m definitely in the senior category. I’ve been at it about a year and have learned a lot via trial and error. One thing I’ve found to be true is that the least expensive option usually leaves you disappointed.
The bipod I started with wasn’t bad, but I shoot from a bench and I got so tired of trying to keep the cant on the gun level. I couldn’t tighten it enough to stop it from moving under recoil. When I saw this heavy duty unit did NOT cant or pan, I had to try it. I am so impressed!! For my use it’s fantastic. Solid as a rock, very well made and easy to use. It’s built like a tank. I don’t think I can wear it out, so I think it will be the last bipod I buy for my long range gun.

I've tried a couple of different bag systems trying tp find the one that provides the right height and the ability to adjustv by squeezing the bag. I've found that the combination of this bag at the rear and the one pound bag under the handle provides me with a rock solid hold when shooting from a bench. Very helpful when accuracy counts toward load development. Seems well made and durable.l

These bullets are my go to for tight groups! I find that I can get 1/2" to 3/4" groups at 100 yds with these guys. pretty hard to beat that.
good bipod

I’ve only had a chance to use this bipod once to date. It seems to be very sturdy. Only negative, and this may just be me needing to adjust to it, is that it seems hard to lock the tilt nut. Perhaps I just need to play with it a bit more. At first blush, it seems like a good value.

I’ve got a Bergarra Competition 6.5 Creedmore that I got about a month ago. After trying multiple brands and bullet weights this Hornady ammo suits my rifle the best - under 1/2” MOA AT 100 yds. Excellent ammo!

MDT Comp Muzzle Brake
Put this brake on my 6.5 Creedmore. It has really cut down the recoil and certainly helps me be able to call my own shots. But the most amazing thing about it is the lack of blast that I feel when shooting. I’ve had brakes on a couple of other guns - the most dramatic, a 30-378 Weatherby. The brake on that gun reduced the recoil very effectively, but the sound and the blast was over the top - it would literally part your hair. The MDT folks say they did a lot of research getting the baffles in their brake to direct the sound and blast down range - one of the reasons I purchased this unit. In my opinion, they’ve done an excellent job. I would highly recommend!
