Shockingly Good Quality!

Written on Dec 07, 2016

I opened the box, touched the bag, and immediately realized the quality and thickness of the fabric. I got the Tan color. I was kinda scared to get the Camo-colored bag thinking the coloring was probably gonna be crappy, so I "settled" for the Tan color. But noticing the good dye job of the tan, I think I'll spring for the camo one too.
Plenty of room in these bags too. I go to the range with the same amount of extra gear that my wife takes in her pocketbook for a two day shopping trip! 2 Glock boxes, ammo, toolkit, cleaning kit, targets, gloves, earplugs, eyewear, more ammo, Lifestraw, MRE'S, flashlight, pencils, tablet, paper towels, silicon and led rags all fit.
Good padding in the bag and on the shoulder strap too.

ALL THE STEPS OF MOUNTING THIS SIGHT TO THE GLOCK MOS

Written on Oct 14, 2016

i have this sight. i mounted this sight to my glock , g34, gen4 mos. i used plate #1 for my glock.
i called vortex because you need new screws to mount this sight to the glock. plate #1 mos.... Vortex provides these screws for free if you message them... i then had to buy the "gasket" that UM TACTICAL sells. to fit between the sight and the mounting plate #1 which is attached to the glock. it costs like $5.00 bucks.
you need this to have the battery (2032) stay in contact with the frame/sight. . Some bypass this by using shoo-goo or other sticky stuff to hold the battery in place. . i can not vouch for this method as i have not used it. (spend the $5 bucks)
USE THE GLOCK SCREWS TO MOUNT THE PLATE #1 TO THE GLOCK BODY ( MOS PISTOL) THEN USE THE "SHIM" (OR GASKET() SOLD BY UM TACTICAL BETWEEN THE BATTERY THAT THE VIPER SIGHT USES (AND VIPER SIGHT) TO THE GUN. ( LIKE A CAKE THAT'S LAYERED) THEN USE THE FREE SCREWS PROVIDED BY VORTEX TO ATTACH THE VORTEX VIPER TO THE UM TACTICAL SHIM WHICH ATTACHES TO THE GUN BODY.
SO, 1) GUN FRAME (BODY) LOWEST .LAYER.. ATTACH TO THIS BODY (FRAME) THE M.O.S. PLATE #1. STEP #2 (ATTACH PLATE #1 TO GLOCK (FRAME) OR (BODY) WITH GLOCK PROVIDED SCREWS AND USE OPTIONAL LOCKTITE (THREAD GLUE APPLIED TO SCREWS ) TO KEEP PLATE #1 ATTACHED TO FRAME. BETTER
NOW STEP #3. PUT THE BATTERY (2032) (PLUS SIDE SHOWING OUT) INTO THE VIPER.
STEP #4; PUT THE SHIM (UM TACTICAL'S) GASKET) BETWEEN THE VIPER RED DOT SIGHT, AND THE FRAME (BODY) OF THE GLOCK. .. SE

STREAMLIGHT TLR-4 ONE YEAR REVIEW

Written on Oct 12, 2016

Okay, I've now owned my TLR-4 Streamlight light/laser for a year. In the past year I've shot 1000+ rounds out of my Glock 34 gen4 MOS with not one issue. The laser was pretty well sighted in right out of the box and stayed sighted in for this entire year, never having to re-sight, even once! I'm using my G34 9mm for home defense, as I've found the 125 lumen output of the TLR-4 more than adequate as a stand alone flashlight. I use it as a flashlight and laser at the same time for my nightstand security, though it can be used as a flashlight alone, laser alone, or both together. The power switch is in the perfect location, right in front of the trigger. The selecter switch is below the power switch. It's not in a convenient location which is a good thing, as it won't be easily knocked into, changing your light/laser choice in an adrenaline charged emergency situation. The light/laser selection you used last, stays the same, the next time it's turned on again. Installation was a breeze on my Glock, but comes with different mounts for different gun brands. Glock has a below barrel "rail". I also have installed on my Glock the Small, small Vortex Viper red dot sight. That sight stays on the gun all the time. The TLR-4 comes off easy enough when I shoot at the range, and goes on again easy enough, when I get home, while maintaining it's "zero".

light weight and clear

Written on May 11, 2016

This is my second Sightmark 15-45X60SE Spotting Scope. The reason being, quite simply, is that it works! Some may think because it is so lightweight, it must be bad. Contraire! No guys, it's a good thing! With my range bag and rifle together, it must weigh a ton! Now add a spotting scope and we're in hernia territory! Or try carrying un-necessary additional weight up a mountain....Enough said!
Seriously, The Sightmark Spotting scope is a lightweight powerhouse. A clear and light optic. Tripod, window mount, 2 filters, hardshell case, lightweight carry bag and strap all included! Try sighting in your rifle at 100 yds. without an auto-powered target return, without a spotting scope!
Great price too.

TLR-4 ON MY GLOCK 34

Written on Nov 27, 2015

Couldn't beat the price. Maybe not as powerful as others but I like the size as it's not too big. I could have gone with a larger unit as my Glock 34 is a full sized handgun, but the lighter weight of this particular unit drew me to purchase. Additionally, the price was like 3X cheaper than the newer or more powerful units. It's a darn bright enough flashlight for one that's attached to a handgun,I mean I would use a regular flashlight if I needed to duh. And the red laser while not as powerful as the much more expensive "green" laser, works just fine in what you use a handgun for, which is close quarters, I mean if I needed to use a laser for a 50 yard shot, I would not be using a handgun! That's what rifles are for. I am not one who needs the latest greatest thing anymore at my age, which is why I bought a $500. Glock and not a $2500. gold plated engraved glamour gun!
