The tool worked just fine for my AR10 D ring. The handles could be a little bit longer and wider. I'm not sure if an AR15 ring is smaller, if it is im sure it will work better. It's just fine for a home hobbyist.
Installed in about 10 minutes. Fit perfectly with no adjustments need to barrel nut. It's a little heavy but not to bad. I ordered this to mount a vertical grip and bipod. It will work perfectly. The rubber covers are a nice touch too. Shipping was faster than expected.
