Not compatible with some rifles

These are nice units that allow you to get to the charging handle more easily with an optic installed. I have one in my Sig 516 and it works fine. I bought this one for the Sig 716 and it will not work. It locks up the rifle and you can not pull the charging handle back. This information should be added to the OP description. If you search on the Vltor website under the FAQ tab for this item you will see the compatible rifles.

I hate to write a bad review but this has left me a little disappointed.
The biometric does not work as well as I had hoped. With multiple learning inputs of one finger, actually getting this thing to open with one swipe has not been easy. There is some timing to the speed of the finger swipe. However, my friends (same model)safe works fine.
Also if you have a beavertail Sig P226/P229, the safe will not close if you have a surefire light attached. There is not enough depth.
