This barrel works great with standard ammo, but I have not been able to make it work with subsonic ammo. Tried various buffer weights and made sure gas was opened all the way. Think the mid length gas doesn't work with sub sonic pressure. Would love to see a carbine length 1:8 twist 16" barrel!
This is the most accurate ammo I have found for my Remington 700 SPS Tactical .223, 16in barrel with 1:9 twist. Consistently get .5-.6" groups at 100yds. Incredible performance on small game and varmints. Have never had any problems with feeding or ignition.
