It’s Thermal baby

Written on Oct 28, 2023

Been looking around for a good thermal to complement the pvs-14 and I landed on this bad boy. It was a tough call but had it had what I wanted. The ability to be helmet and weapon mounted as well as being lite and very durable. The image when adjusted to your liking is very crisp and clear. If you weapon mount will also have plenty of reticles to choose from along with zeroing profiles you can set. Quick release mount is very strong and convenient but setting the nox in front of an optic like an lpvo doesn’t work so well. Recommend to use only the nox by itself for weapon mounting. The nox works very well as a helmet thermal. Can even bridge with a pvs-14 if that’s your jam. Hard to combine the two images. I find using white hot to give best results. Battery life is good but not long. 8 hrs with an 18650 or less then have with cr123. Has the ability to add an external battery pack or to hook up to PC. With all the playing around or hunting you’ll be doing the image does degrade slightly over time and you will have to NUC and reset the sensor, it’s manual and not automatic which I like. It’s digital so some delay in what you see but very small. At the end of the day it’s thermal baby and a great one at that, nothing can hide from you now. I highly recommend the nox for my brothers that want only the best made here in the USA.
