One of the hardest things to find for purchase. Supposed to be also available at Cooper Custom. Haven't found it anywhere else for 4 months. A completely necessary item if you are going to use your own forearm, YHM or other compatible unit. Makes the system what it should be: an interchangeable barrel system.

this was in theory a good idea. The issue is that it is a cast item rather than a machined item. Because of this, the tolerances are not that accurate. Even something as simple as the YHM jam nut tool does not have a sharp enough edge to accurately grab on to the nut without slipping

Endcap dresses up the handguard nicely. Quality machined piece. Fits like you expect for YHM. Not an absolute necessity for form or function, but I expect it will keep larger debris out and keep it from getting caught on branches, etc.
