Awesome jacket

Great summer tactical windbreaker. Quality was higher than expected, and apparently (from the tag inside it), it's made in Germany. Would buy again

Application dependent

Written on Apr 07, 2026

I was hoping to use this on my plate carrier to hold either my rifle or shotgun out of the way when needed. Unfortunately, the magnets in the weapons catch are nowhere near strong enough to hold a rifle or shotgun. At best, it may hold a pistol, but the reliability of that while moving is not good. FalconClaw makes one capable of this purpose, but they've been sold out for months. If you're looking for a magnet for the same purpose as I am, there really isn't anything on the market available right now. Now, if you want a technical breakdown to understand what you need, keep reading below.

I ended up making my own version of this with some Amazon-bought 150 lbs magnets. Keep in mind the rating for a magnet's strength assumes the item has complete contact with the magnet at a horizontal (flat) angle. By having these on a molle at a vertical angle (up and down) the magnet strength is reduced by 80% in what is called the shear position. So a 150 lbs rated magent on a molle plate carrier would hold 30 lbs by this math. But wait, there's more. Now you have to consider movement and G force on the magnet and whatever it's carrying. Now in my version, if you try to put a 30 lbs item on the magent, it should hold (if it's completely touching the magnet). But if you jump up in the air and land on the ground, the G force, or accelerated force, can be doubled. So the 30 lbs item on that magnet now has a force of 60 lbs because it's accelerated downwards and the magnet cannot hold onto i

NO Auto ON Feature

Written on Jan 24, 2026

THIS SIGHT DOESN'T HAVE AN AUTO ON FEATURE!

There are sights that cost half as much with this feature. I do not want to have to leave my optic on all day to end up with a dead battery when I need to draw my firearm. You have to manually hold down the on and off buttons when you want to use it. This needs to be fixed. Thought I'd take a chance and get away from RMR because I love EOTechs rifle optics, but their pistol optics need design work. Overall, the build is actually pretty decent, feels good, looks good, but the no auto On/Off is what kills the deal. If they added this, they would easily jump to a 5/5.
