These mounts work well for me. I believe Vortex has discontinued some of these scope mount models. They appear to be very similar to the Seekins brand mounts. I have a few of these mounts, and have never had an issue. If I did have an issue, one call, and it’s handled. That’s how Vortex handles it’s business and it’s customers. I never have any concerns buying a Vortex product just because of their customer service.
These are very good magazines. I can't say they function any better than other magazines I have, but they feel better made. They seem stronger, tighter, and to be of better quality. Function wise, I just don't see much difference. Maybe time will tell. I have used Lancer magazines for years in my ar15 type rifles, and they are by far my favorite.
I bought this scope because I bought another Millett scope (DMS) years ago and I still love it. My purpose was to have a scope that is long range and would gather lots of light. Primarily to be used in a long food plot, where most shots are over 300, and I have a nice shooting house and rest. The scope is big, heavy, and strong. The glass is great through all magnifications and the LRS will take heavy recoil. Tracks perfectly. Comes with mounts that are perfect on AR type flat tops. I put it on a M5E1 Creedmoor set up, and it works great. The gun is heavy, the scope is heavy, and that is what I wanted. It's like shooting a 22.. Do not buy if you need to run through the badlands and fight bad guys.
The 936A adjustable gas block by Black Rain is a 2 set acrew type block. The gas is controlled by a single Allen screw with no locking screw. I'm sure it will work fine for most applications, but it is not what is pictured. For the money, you can do better. Took about 3 weeks to arrive.
These little prism scopes are great. Very clear, very bright, very easy to use. I rarely turn the scope on, the etched reticle works just as well as the red or green lighted reticle. I have 2 of them now; one on a 44 magnum, and one on a 300 blk. Great optic for 0 to 250 yards. You also have to consider the Vortex warranty, I don't think they get any better.
