Good quality and nothing I don’t need.

I searched for a while to find a case for a carbine that is about 35-1/2” long. It’s tight but it does fit in this case. To me that is better than loose. It’s versatile and you can trim the hook and loop straps and put them wherever you want. Sale price was a good deal for a case this well made.
Plenty of storage but not a lot of extra bulk. Perfect for me. I didn’t want something that carries two firearms and weighs 10 lbs and can double as a backpack!

Don Hume H721 Open Top Conceal Carry Holster
I really like this holster and it is my second Don Hume pancake style holster (my other one has a thumb snap). I gave it 4 instead of 5 because I haven't worn it extensively so do not know how it would hold up to daily carry. This purchase for a duty sized handgun that I won't carry a lot. Hybrid inside the waistband holsters are the most popular for concealed carry but a pancake holster like this is much more comfortable (albeit less concealable). Plan to wear a longish shirt untucked if your using this for concealed carry and live with some printing, depending on your clothing, body and particular gun. Works great for outside the waistband too, holds the gun close to the body. I believe the 2 slot pancake holster is highly under rated and I believe the Don Hume versions compare very favorably with all other brands that are even close to the same price range. It's simple and sturdy and fits my firearm very well. I was hoping for slightly thicker leather but I think you'd have to spend 1.5 to 2 times the price to get a better quality leather holster, unless it's from a small maker that does it by hand. I shopped A LOT for this holster and picked it because I like the brand and the price and already had a similar one for a different firearm. I knew what I was getting. A 4 rating isn't quite fair for how much I like it, wish I could give it 4.5. To me a 5 rating for a holster should only be given after wearing it a lot and I just haven't yet. It may well end up deserving a 5. O
