Excellent, but...
Written on Dec 21, 2020
Excellent device, installed on a 10.5" AR pistol. Very low recoil, almost none. Very little concussion, too. However, the flash from the muzzle is interesting... More sparks in every direction than anything. It's also very, very loud.

Superb general purpose rifle sling

Review for
Magpul Industries Magpul RLS Sling
The Magpul RLS is an excellent replacement for the standard nylon carry strap. As outlined in the directions, when properly installed, it can be used as a loop-style sling for stabilizing your shots. For instance, if one were using a pump shotgun, if presented with a longer range situation where a slug were needed, one could perform a slug changeover, loop up, and take the shot.

Awesome Breaching Brake
Written on May 18, 2020
Review for
Trulock Choke Tubes TTCWIN12SPL
This brake is perfect for the tactical/law enforcement shotgunner. It doesn't do a whole lot to mitigate recoil, but for breaching (PC term is "entry way deconstruction") it's a superb standoff device. Looks awesome, too.

Excellent Sight for Budget Price
Written on Apr 15, 2019
Superior build quality, exceeding that of the Vortex SPARC and Strikefire II by a large margin. On par - or very near to - the build quality of Aimpoint T1. The green dot is VERY easy to pick up and I like it a lot more than red. Very bright; at low settings the dot is very well defined (even given my astigmatism) though for me it "starbursts" at medium to high settings. It is still usable and accurate enough, though. The "shake awake" feature is very convenient (however, a shake isn't necessary - just picking up the weapon will activate the sight.) It's perfect for a PCC or small carbine; mine's mounted to a Beretta CX4 Storm.

Tougher Than Nails Beater
Written on Jun 03, 2018
95% Aimpoint quality at 50% the price. It is no less durable than an Aimpoint PRO, comparable weight, very good battery life (mine has been on medium for last 10 months on single lithium AA battery) and is attractive looking. The dials are more coarse than Aimpoint, but still adequate for 50 or 100 yard zero. Premium product at excellent price.

Top Shelf Quality Holster
Written on Nov 05, 2017
On duty, I've used a variety of holsters, from department-issued leather rigs, SERPA, and others. The Safariland 6365 ALS is simply the best. It's the most durable of any I've used. The retention is unmatched. However, the draw stroke is as quick as even the fast, but retention challenged, Level II SERPA. Best holster I've ever used.
