If your build has a barrel length of 10.5" or less, and a standard Mil-spec buttstock seems a little too big, then the K version of the MOE SL carbine stock is for you. I have a 10.5" and a 7.5" and it just completes the overall look, coupled with the quality and dependability of Magpul.
I would like to provide an update to my last review, rescinding my poor rating of the Faxon Sig Sauer P365 Threaded Barrel. After realizing that I was improperly installing the compensator, I re-installed the compensator and timed it correctly. I realized that I was over-tightening the compensator, which would not allow the barrel to go into battery. With the proper timing, the barrel and comp worked beautifully. There was a noticeable difference in my accuracy and group over the stock barrel. After about 1000 rounds, the barrel is holding up well.
I have a threaded barrel for my G19 Gen5 from Faxon Firearms with a Herrington Arms compensator on it and it works beautifully. I am also a big fan of Faxon Firearms AR15 barrels; they are one of the best! So, it only made sense for me to get a threaded barrel from Faxon Firearms for my EDC. Man am I disappointed. If I install the comp and turn it all the way until it doesn't turn anymore and then back it up to properly align with he slide, it pulls the barrel slightly out of alignment. When I go to install the slide back onto the pistol grip module, it catches on something, preventing you from locking the slide all the way back. If I really pull hard, I can get the slide to lock back, but then I run into another issue. I could NOT get any defense ammo (hollow points) to chamber---ZERO!! Wasted a ton of money damaging all my hollow points trying to get one to chamber.
If I reinstall the compensator but leave a slightly small gap, the barrel is properly positioned inside the slide and the slide worked properly.
Going back to the FTF issue, I noticed my round nose bullets had a ding on the tip from chambering inside the barrel. So, I tried to polish the heck out of the feed ramp, but it still would not chamber a hollow point.
