I purchased this item for use on my Mini-14. It was just the right length to mount in the Ruger rings on the rifle. The dot projected in the scope is not a perfect dot; it's somewhat irregular in shape, but I can live with it considering that I bought it for use on varmints at ranges to 100 yards. The variable brightness works well and I boresighted and zeroed on an overcast day. Boresight was at 15 yards, zero at 50 and confirmed to 100 yards with acceptable accuracy. Since I'm not trying to drive tacks with it, I was satisfied with the scope's performance as a zero-magnification optic. I will monitor the dot for signs of deterioration or further irregularity because I wouldn't want it to be any worse.

This case exceeded my expectations. It's well made, and of heavy materials. Well worth the price! The pockets on the outside of the case are well designed. Inside the large pocket are three straps to hold accessories and are made with Velcro to secure the contents. The handles are heavyweight and the zipper is of a large size to facilitate ease of use.
Good Value Rig

This is a good rig for the price. The only thing I'd like it to have is an optional chest strap for a more secure feel. Other than that, I have no complaints. Having another person help with adjustments is very helpful. Taking it on and off to make adjustments is time consuming, but I knew that from experience. Bottom line: good rig for the money.

I recently purchased two BD 1150 vaults and I am very satisfied with the quality and performance of the product. Simple, yet effective, design will serve its intended purpose in the car, home, and other on-the-go places requiring portability. Being able to purchase additional mounting brackets separately is an added feature that allows using one vault in several places.
