I recommend the product but only because it's the only one that is on the market that fits and AR 15

The problem is it is a friction locking device and there is no release button to press to release the mag. That means if you need a mag you are going to have to pull the mag real hard to get it out of the device. Or, adjust the friction where it's loose enough to get the mag released but then the mag is going to fall out of the device when you are running. I still use it and have purchased 3 of them for my AR's in 9 mm but I don't like it. As soon as somebody makes one with a locking release button I will purchase 5 -10 of them and sale these 3 in the yearly garage sale. It's better than nothing and I love everything else about the device.

Accessory review

I LOVE this product. I'm in a unique place of needing the ability to be able to grab one weapon system and maybe or not the matching weapon go bag and be prepared to fight a large group of hostels. The mag I put in the AR and in the front mag holder is the 60 round mag. That gives me 120 round to start the battle even without the AHDBL bag directly on the weapon system (Not a bad start). If all you could get is the weapon system you got a good amount of ammo attached. If you need fast and easy remove the mag and put it into your pocket. If you use a bipod like me you will want to loose the mag to make that work or just use the mag in a pinch as your bipod until you can loose the front mag. If the fight goes past that then drop to 30 round mags to dump the weight for faster moving options. As for the mag holder product I'm putting them on every weapon system. I tried a similar product in 9 mm for my close quarters weapon system (9 mm AR style pistol) but it would not fit on the rail system.
