I have wondered for a very long time why no one has made a reticle like this… the lower dot is for very close engagement to compensate for the muzzle to optic difference… aka mechanical offset. Especially for CWB weapons. This is the last part of a nice MP5 clone build and what a great choice!!! I have a few EOtechs and this is rapidly becoming my favorite.
First off, every time I say Volquartsen I feel like it should be sung by Ramstein… just me? Anyhoo, this think is slicker than snot on an ice cold garage floor. I mean it basically eliminates friction. I was so far, the hardest thing I’ve installed on the 10/22 and I can say hardest period since everything is now Vol… Volquart…. Volquarsen. Sorry, and really it wasn’t that hard to install. I did figure out a trick in removing the old bolt. Use a very strong magnet instead if fighting to try and pry it. What I love best about this part is that it makes the action quieter. It comes with a buffer to replace a stop bolt. It makes a big difference in sound, which is the whole point of my build. At this point it is hard to determine accuracy differences, this is the last part I have done. However, I will say it is way more consistent which generally translates to more accurate. It put all 30 test shots in a small circle… which is impressive if I was speaking of the bullets, it’s more impressive in reality because what I meant wasn’t the bullets it was the brass and like I said consistency usually translates to accuracy. I may repeat this build with my other 10/22 which has a 16” heavy barrel. This one was done for a integrally suppressed barrel. One thing is certain I have learned from all this. Nothing competes with vol… volquart … volquartsen!!! The quality is amazing.
