I went hunting with 2 buds and their young sons, over a huge terrain that we divided and conquered. Long story short, Dad-Son combo #1 shot a doe behind the shoulder (other caliber non-Sig), it ran 150+ yards and they had to chase/track it. Dad-Son combo #2, the dad shot a doe at about 60yds, the doe jumped up, and took off running and never dropped...got away (other caliber non-Sig).
I shot this Sig Venari .308 Win Cal 150gr load in my Springfield Waypoint 2020 Carbon fiber 20" barrel bolt-action. 84yds shot behind the shoulder and the doe dropped, sprayed 3-4 times, and went into arterial fibrillation. The fact that the shot went where I placed it, and the deer dropped instead of running off, I RECOMMEND THIS LOAD FOR WHITETAIL DEER!
